The place has its own amazing history. One could always learn more about the history here; like, one could always see the old cisterns of 19th century on display at Toubin Park in Downtown.


    Nacogdoches enjoys the distinction of being Texas’ oldest town. It is just a couple of hours away from Houston. The place has rich cultural heritage. People are taken back into the historical surroundings as soon as they enter Durst-Taylor House and Gardens, Millard’s Crossing Historic Village, etc.  And then, there is the Stephen F. One could embark upon some amazing acts here like take steamboat rides, root beer floats, or sit in horse-driven carriages. Moreover, there are a number of antique shops that one could explore here.


    Denton is around 4 hours drive from Houston; however, the distance is worth covering since the place offers great respite from the hectic city life. However, at the same time it offers unlimited fun to the visitors because of its well developed music scene. It is inundated with youngsters who are all charged up with energy. There are two universities here: University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University. There are a number of spots that are popular for the music fans here, including Dan’s Silverleaf, and The Abbey Underground. Moreover, there is the remarkable Denton Arts and Jazz Festival that is full of fun and activity, and a number of local artists join the celebrations in order to offer memorable memories to the visitors.
